3 skincare facial tools I can’t live without
Whatever the thoughts and opinions are on facial tools, I love them. Not just because I enjoy having 4 hour beauty and spa time in my apartment on Saturdays, but because they WORK. I can honestly say that they work because I’ve been using these 3 face tools for the last 6 months to over a year and I look back at my skin in pictures when I was 19, 20 and 21 and I think I look better now. That’s right, better.
Things in the market are only getting better and more safe for face tools. I’ve always said that I want to age gracefully because I am not “age-obsessed” like I feel most people in our society are. In fact, I welcome the lapse of time. Thinking of how I processed things when I was 21, 22, and 23 gives me a headache. With age comes wisdom and now comes great skin too!
LED Face Mask
The big momma. This baby was something that I was completely shocked I was actually getting. Talk about #skincaregoals. Every girl that is skin obsessed gushes at having such a piece of equipment. It really does feel like you’re in a spa getting the ultimate facial – yaaass! The price range for these go anywhere from $20 to over $1000. I knew that I wanted the multiple light settings, so I got mine with red, blue and green and spent about $100. I felt that before I knew it worked, I wasn’t going to spend a bunch of money finding out. I used to get fraxel laser facials at a spa, which is a step above the offered LED light facials, and was skeptical to say the least.
Red LED light settings are known for collagen stimulation, which means plumper and less tired looking skin. The Blue LED light settings are good for killing bacteria, so you already know this goes on the moment I start to feel a breakout coming on. Lastly, the Green LED light setting helps brighten the complexion and gives a more even tone. When I’m feeling a little down on myself, getting a quick pick-me-up does just the thing!
Would I say this works instantly? The difference is definitely satisfying after the first use. They tell you not to do it over an hour per day, so I do 20 minutes each setting. If I need more help in one area more than the other, I just leave that particular light setting on for longer and less on the others.
So do I recommend you get one? You already know! I felt that I have kept a fresh and clean face because of this mask and I LOVE IT! It would be safe to categorize this as your new go-to weapon for an incredible glow.
Nurse Jamie Tool
That’s right, I got one. The purple tool that most of Hollywood has been rolling up and down their faces by Nurse Jaime, a celebrity facialist. Since I’ve been using this for months now, I would definitely say it’s something that I really love and attribute to my great skin! Because I’m very into face massage techniques also, it made sense as to why this tool would work because of the lymphatic drainage it helps promote. I would also say that because of the circulation boost, you really do notice an instant result. However, it’s not permanent. But, like with anything workout related, it takes time to build the muscles up and you can apply that same principle to your face.
I use it about every other day in the morning and night. I have even used it right before I leave my place with makeup on before date night as it helps quickly tone and plump up the skin for my best face.
Pulse Facial Massager
I remember when I was scrolling down Instagram and saw this product’s video advertisement I had to have it. I also COULD NOT believe that it was less than $20! It’s incredible what this little guy can do! I was in between this tool and a NuFACE. But because I already felt spoiled with my LED Face Mask, I figured this would be the perfect gateway beauty tool to other better and more expensive facial massagers. You won’t be disappointed! I love what it does around my eyes, cheekbones and mouth. Nasolabial folds, be gone!
The best thing about using this is that you don’t have to religiously keep using it everyday. Again with the muscle analogy, I find that after a few days of using it in a row, I can go a week without it and still feel lifted. Total time is at least 10-20 minutes to really make sure you move the stored fat in the face around and get toned.
Let me know how these tools work for you! These are all my own opinions based on my experience and the experience of other people. If you have sensitive skin, make sure that you read the instructions and precautions before you decide it’s the best option for you.
